WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • XP’s beginner level players 2.3 and 2.9. The perfect fit for entry level players. You’ll find a supportive and friendly community that shares a passion for getting out on the court, learning to play this popular game, expanding their player network, and having a ball while doing it.

  • XP's intermediate level players is for 3.0 and 3.9. It is perfect for players looking to sharpen their skills and explore the strategic side of pickleball with similarly skilled players. You’ll get some more serious competition without ever losing the community aspect of team-based pickleball.

  • We know advanced players are all about the competition. Our XP advanced play is for 4.0 and 5.0, you’ll only play against equally skilled players in a highly competitive environment. You get all the social benefits of pickleball but with the competitive edge that pushes you to master all strategies and skills (if you haven’t done so already!).

Match Format: Each group plays 8 games to 11 points, win by 1 point. You play two rounds of round robin style games partnered with each of the four other players in your group. You do NOT need to win by two points so the maximum score in any one game is 11 points.

Match Outcomes: Match outcomes are determined solely by each player’s total number of points scored in all his/her games. Players finish either first, second, third, fourth or fifth with groups of 5 based on their point total with the top player of the group moving up a court the following week. the lowest player in the group moving down a court. A perfect score for the week is 88 points won.

How are we ranked?

Ranking will be in the order of total points won. Total points won will determine ranking. If there is a tie in total points won, the next determining rank will be total points won minus total points lost.

Then, the winning player is chosen based on win-loss records.

If there is a tie, then the tie is broken based on head-to-head matches.

If there is still a tie, then the tie is broken by point differential.

If a tie remains after point differential, then the tie is broken by head-to-head point differential.

If there is still a tie, then the final tie breaker is by point differential against the next-highest player.

First Serve: The South team always serves first.

Determining Partners and Sides: A random method determines who partners with whom first and which team serves first.

Cancellations: If you are scheduled to play and a last-minute emergency or injury will keep you from participating, please notify the Tournament Ambassador IMMEDIATELY by text. The Ambassador will try to recruit a substitute.

Champion: The top player in each bracket receives $50 Amazon gift card and a customized trophy.
